Taylor Swift, in full Taylor Alison Swift (born December 13 1989 West Reading Pennsylvania U.S.) American pop and country musician and singer whose tales of youthful heartache earned her widespread recognition in the beginning of the 20th century. Swift began showing an desire to work in the music industry as early as age. Swift's career grew rapidly from children's play roles to her first public appearance crowds of people. In 2011, Swift, at the age of 11, performed The Star-Spangled Banner during a Philadelphia 76ers' basketball game. The year after that she started writing her own songs. Swift was a singer who took influences from the music of Shania Twain and that of The Dixie Chicks now known as The Chicks in the world of country music, created the original songs she wrote to express her experience with alienation. Swift's parents relocated her to Tennessee at the age of 13 after selling their Pennsylvania farm. The move gave Swift to spend more time looking for labels to promote traditional music from Nashville.
